Some celebrities are critical of TikTok's power, but Charlie Puth recently defended the app and explained why he enjoys using it.

Puth revealed in a music podcast that "CHARLIE" was inspired by two breakups: one with a long-term girlfriend and another with a long-time business partner.

Puth also used the popular social media app TikTok to promote the album as well as provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the album's creation by posting videos of himself in the studio.
